Couples looking for a reception venue away from the hustle and bustle of Sydney need look no further than The Bathers’ Pavilion, a historic building renovated into a relaxed contemporary restaurant overlooking Balmoral Beach.

Bathers’ boasts a dream location – with a view through the heads of the harbour, the nearby Rocky Point Island and the Rotunda – ideal for the exchange of vows. The white sandy beach is perfect for a stroll before dinner and is a stunning photographic backdrop.

Owner and executive chef Serge Dansereau learned his craft in his native Montreal and since moving to Australia has been named the Sydney Morning Herald’s ‘Chef of the Year’ and awarded its Special Award for excellence “for his work in helping redefine Australian cuisine, his passion for produce, and his promotion of regionalism.” Serge continues his passion at The Bathers’ Pavilion, using fresh produce grown by small producers, and a variety of preparation methods including slow cooking in a wood fired oven or grilling on vine leaves. His French fare, complemented by an extensive list of Australian and imported wines, creates a memorable menu for any occasion.

Larger parties can make use of The Room and Terrace that seats up to 102 guests for dinner. For more intimate occasions the exclusive Blue Room seats between 16 to 24 guests. With its floor to ceiling windows, breathtaking ocean views and three course à la carte limited menu, the Blue Room is the perfect setting for an unforgettable wedding celebration.
